Denver Codicil Attorney

What is a Codicil?

A Codicil is an amendment or revision of a last will & testament. Typically, it is used to add or delete a beneficiary and/or to change the Personal Representative. However, it also can be used to delete or add other provisions. A Codicil is less expensive than the preparation of a new Will. However, the danger is that the Codicil may accidently or intentionally be destroyed. For that reason it may be preferable to draft a new Will and destroy or revoke the old one.
